Did you ever wonder what site maps are for? In any internet marketing endeavor, the best thing to do is to maintain a good linkage and to always stay indexed. There many ways available to you online to have your web site indexed and spidered. Using HTML site maps is a way you can utilize to make sure that your site is up to date in the internet and search engine database. What is a site map?

A site map basically is a page that features or lists the links you have on your web site. This will make it easier for search engines to proceed and spider your web site. It is usually found near the bottom page of a web site.

Why are site maps important? An HTML site map is important. It should contain the top level pages. In one page, there should be just about the right amount of links in it. The link should not exceed 100 for more favorable views. (more…)

    Autoresponders: Coming Back For More

    Posted on: May 30th, 2007
    autoresponders.jpg
There was a time when having an autoresponder was a significant perk in ecommerce web design. The early versions of autoresponders would only allow for a one-time auto response. This meant that online business could send a thank you note, catalogue or an ‘about us’ email, but that would be the extent of the auto response messages the system could send.

The business owner could only make the choice of one item to send to all customers. If the owner changed what was sent it was changed for all subsequent auto responses.

Today the idea of an autoresponder as a perk seems somewhat ridiculous. Most web designs offer a singular autoresponder either as an add-on or as part of the design package. (more…)

Making money with affiliate programs is almost a must for any webmaster that has been around for some time or at least adding a few Google or Yahoo text links advertisements to your web site. And many have thought about opening a blog in addition to their old web sites. Opportunities are all around you! All you have to do is to go out and grab them as fast as you can!

Most of the people who want to earn money this way end up making some cash, probably enough to cover their web site’s expenses.

If they have designed the web site themselves, that is. Make no mistake here – you can make money online with web sites, even with very personal blogs, but it’s going to take a lot of working and tweaking to get to the point where you attract a highly targeted audience to your web site.

So how do you find a good affiliate program? How do you know if it’s going to earn you money or if it’s going to be a total waste of money and time? Is it better to opt for a PPC program or settle for sales commissions? (more…)

Make Money With Affiliate Programs That Pay Big Bucks

Many website owners are finding money on their websites for doing nothing but adding a link to another company. This affiliate marketing plan can bring in additional income without any work on your part at all. When a visitor to your site clicks on an affiliate link and makes a purchase, the company pays you a commission on the sale.

The type and style of your website will determine how many companies for which you can work as a silent sales person and if you become affiliated with the right internet companies, you can make big bucks with affiliate programs. For example, Success University, which offers unrivaled instruction on the techniques of internet marketing will pay its affiliates to help them bring in new students. While most people sign up for these internet classes to learn how to market their site, bring in a few extra bucks a month is an added bonus. It is conceivable for a Success University affiliate to make up to $40,000 per month by enrolling students. While this amount may be an extreme example it is a possibility.

Learning the secrets of internet marketing will also teach you how to bring your site into the forefront of search engines and how to have the right content on your site to not only attract search engine spiders, but also buyers for your product or service. You can create an additional income stream with another successful internet company, host4profit, as a reseller of their web hosting services. How much you can make will depend on the services your customers choose and the number of customers you sign up for web hosting. (more…)

The statistic is really staggering. Only one percent of those who start a bog succeed to monetize the site. However, the good news is those who did succeed as loggers are able to earn enough money to live comfortable while working in the comforts of their home. In fact, there are a number of loggers out there that are earning a good five digit income a year. The truth is that bogging can be a very lucrative online home business if and only if you have the talent and the right attitude towards your business.

What makes other fail while others succeed? Successful bloggers invested a lot of time, efforts and talents into their site. They believe that writing a bog is not just a hobby that they can do during their spare time but rather something that should be taken seriously. In other words, bogging is not just about writing something, it about writing something interesting for the readers. (more…)

    Standing out from the crowd

When it comes to trying to make money in your business, you need to find a way to stand out from your competition.

Think about it – if you’re just launching a business to make money, but don’t have any way of standing out and don’t offer anything different from your completion, then you’re going to find yourself struggling to be successful, and you may find yourself competing on offering the lowest price which a surefire way to put yourself out of business quickly.

I think that copywriter, Bill Glazer, has some of the great advice to offer on this topic. “Look at everything your competition is doing, and then do the exact opposite.”

While this may seem like bad advice, it actually makes sense. By doing things differently, you’re certain to stand out from your competition. Being different is what gets you attention, not following the crowd. (more…)

    How To Promote A Website

    Posted on: May 17th, 2007
    how-to-promote-a-website.jpg
Everyone knows some of the standard how to promote website techniques: you want to increase hits, increase visibility, and increased traffic in any way you can. This can be done by getting keyword optimized web content, signing up for ad space on various other websites, setting up business referral arrangements and the like.

However, the problem is that everyone uses these approaches. There are literally thousands upon thousands of people in your area of expertise or desired interested involved in doing exactly the same thing.

Thus, it is obvious why there is a problem. There can be only so many people who can rank high in any given Google, Yahoo or MSN search.

These techniques are good to learn how to promote a website, but it cannot be your only strategy. Unless you are very good at SEO optimized content, you need something more site-specific. (more…)
